About

My name is Dale Hitchcox and I am Peaceful Prints.
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are of drawing as a child, inspired by the illustrations in my school readers. That spark never faded.
I grew up on Vancouver Island, in Western Canada, surrounded by the natural beauty there. Later, I studied at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and the Emily Carr College of Art in Vancouver. Those years shaped my foundation as a visual storyteller and gave me the skills that carried into my career as a graphic designer, illustrator and artist.
For many years I painted traditionally then, for fifteen years I painted digitally with a stylus on a drawing tablet.
Since 2022, I’ve created images using AI. I’ve invested over a thousand hours so far acquiring the skill needed to produce images that fit my vision and sensibilities. I look forward to using it more as the technology evolves.
At the heart of everything I create is a simple purpose: to make images that reflect the beauty of nature and the wonder of life. I believe art has the power to uplift, calm and inspire.
Thanks for visiting my store. I hope some of my images resonate with you and can add beauty to your everyday life.
With gratitude . . . Dale
